A little over 1.3 million students 8,533 educational institutions under eight boards of education are appearing HSC exams for 2018. The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams have started in 2,452 centers in Bangladesh. How many students were attended in HSC Exam 2018?
This year 6.54 lakh are male students and 5.65 lakh are female students take part in the exam. HSC Exams are being also held at 7 (seven) centers abroad, where 262 students are taking the exams.
Theoretical exams would end on June 9, while practical will be held between June 11 and 20. Exams in the day’s first half would start at 10:00 am and continue until 1:00 pm, while tests in the day’s second half would begin at 2:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm. Students with disabilities would be given 20 minutes more to write their answers with the help of scribes. Those with special needs (i.e. autism and Down syndrome) will get extra 30 minutes as well as will be allowed to be accompanied by their parents, teacher or a helper.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has visited the center at the Shiddheshwari Girls’ College in Dhaka. The minister had earlier said that they have adopted all possible measures to prevent a leak of question papers. The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for May 12 have been deferred due to a shutdown called by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
